Mandy asks…

Car insurance?

Im a learner driver, just got a car saxo east coast my partner has a vectra which i am named on aswell, is there any insurance comapanys were i can insure both cars at the same time. which wont cost that much.
I live in northern ireland insurance is dear here.
Also my partner has 4 years no claims does that mean he has to be main driver, if im registered main driver with him as a named driver can i use his no claims?
Thanks because this is confusing me!
the insurance ive been quoted isnt cheap its roughly around £1500 just for me

Administrator answers:

No as a learner , you will have to pay the going rate. You might benefit from being a named driver on BF policy but cant be named main driver. You cant transfer his NCD to you at all. If both cars are with same insurer you might get a bit of discount, but both will have tobe in same name…
