Your Questions About New Driver Car Insurance
Does a new driver need to pay insurance to drive someone elses car?
Im 29 and just getting my license (I know). My bf and I live together. He says he pays $80 per month for insurance in Nc and Id have to pay the same to drive his car without him in it. Id prefer not to drive alone anytime soon.
Its not that i dont believe him; I dont think he knows either. Can someone please explain to me how a new driver without their own car should approach insurance?
Yes you need to be placed in the policy and that will make policy more expensive.

Where is the best place for a new driver to get car insurance?
To get the best deal for the state in which you live and for your circumstances, you need to call and get quotes from at least 3 or 4 companies. As a rule or thumb, it is also a good idea to check on prices every two years or so. Insurance companies count on us getting lazy about checking around and in some cases, will take advantage of the fact by bumping rates for long time clients more than new ones.
