Susan asks…

How much do you think the cheapest insurance would be for my classic car?

My car is a 68′ . Yes It is very old. I have been trying to get a quote but most websites do not have the option for cars older then the early 90′s late 80′s. Anyone with a classic car help? I thought about antique tags but I will use It as a daily driver and in the state of VA that’s illegal so.. it’s chevy impala 4 doors. btw. all I want is a liability.

Administrator answers:

For liability only, You don’t want or need “classic” insurance. The cost of liability only should be easy to get and it doesn’t matter if the car is 100 years old or is brand new. Your “mistake” is you are asking a computer for a quote. Computers are required to ask the age of the car but they don’t know that because you only want liability, the age of the car doesn’t matter. Simply get a quote from a real live, local insurance agent in your town.

Betty asks…

What’s the best car insurance company? Your experience?

I just purchased a new car and my family and I have about 4 cars currently under farmers insurance and pays way over $200 on car insurance…the dealer at the agency mentioned that he bought the same car and has 4 other cars with Nationwide and pays under $200 full coverage. In your experience and in your opinion from what you know or have experienced which insurance companys over the best service for your buck or offer great options. I think we are paying a lot and the options aren’t that great. Thanks

Administrator answers:

Well, it depends. Nationwide might be the best for him, but not for you. Depends on your credit score, your driving record, whether you own or rent, the coverages on your vehicles, your liability limits, deductables, the ages of the drivers, where you live, how much you drive etc etc etc. I would suggest calling an independent agent and asking for a quote. They represent more than one company so they can put you in the company that best suits your needs.

Ken asks…

Safe to buy Insurance over the phone ?

I need car insurance , is it safe to give my credit card information over the phone ?

What would they ask for ? Just the card number ? Will they want the expiration date and 3 digit code on the back ?

Do they need my SSN number ?

I know they will need an address , phone number and drivers license number.

The people that answer (I have called 6 places for a quote) seem like the type you do not feel safe giving all this information too.

Administrator answers:

Um i wouldnt say so. Go into an insurance office, and if you cant, then call them but use a phone with a wire, like the ones that are connected. Dont use a wireless phone or a cell phone.

Mandy asks…

How can I file an sr22 form with an insurance company if I currently do not have a car?

This April will be able to get back my license after a suspension due to a DUI about 4 years back, and a reckless driving about 2 years back. I currently do not have a car, and would like to be able to get a quote from a company, but all online ask for vehicle info, I won’t be getting a car for another few months, so what is the best way to go about this.

Administrator answers:

I would ask for quote on car you are thinking about buying. Such as a mini van, sedan or a pick up truck. Go to progressive.com. They insure high risk drivers like yourself. Not to say you are a bad driver, but you are a high risk based on your history.

Donald asks…

the auto insurance company is playing games on me and him ( the plaintiff and the defendant) see details next?

My son got into a car accident in 2007. The plaintif sued him in the small claim court. The judge ordered my son to pay him.The insursnce company agreed to pay the full amount, but they never did.Sometime they say that he changed his address,or he never received the check, or he is not satisfied. Now for more than one year my son’s driver‘s license is suspended. Can he sue the Insurance company?

Administrator answers:

For car insurance the fastest way to get a low quote is do a policy comparison. If you choose the same coverage amounts, you can get an fast quote to compare against others. Use the same zipcode, car make and model, mileage and driving history to ensure you get an apples to apples comparison. To get easy auto quotes, go to http://www.autoadviceonline.com/Free-Auto-Insurance-Quote.html and you can compare all the major auto insurance companies.
