May 14, 2013

James asks…

can i drive my car with an international licence and provisional insurance?

can i buy a car in the uk and insure it on my provisional licence and drive it with my international licence so i dont need to bring another driver to sit beside me during driving.

the reason i’m asking the this Q is because insurance is much cheaper on the provisional licence.
ps: i ment by (international) as full foreign licence with it’s translation.

Administrator answers:

To drive on an international license you MUST also carry the full license from the country you passed your test in and where the intl license was issued.

You cannot have an international license without having a full license from some country.

Sounds to me that you are on the con so to speak.

So the answer has to be NO.
